perfect central stay with stunning views and great food

during my stay, I loved the short walk to the Matterhorn and how close the delicious Swiss Chalet was for quick meals, making my explorations of Zermatt so much easier and more enjoyable. The room had a fantastic view that made every moment special, great experience overall!

the location of schweizerhof zermatt is ideal, only a 2-minute walk from the train station and close to the gornagrat bahn. our attica suite was beautifully furnished with a lovely view of the matterhorn. the staff went above and beyond, accommodating our special requests seamlessly. having free access to the hotel's wellness area was a fantastic bonus.

The shower stall was extremely slippery and could lead to potential falls. a bath mat should be provided in every room.

Additionally, the hotel’s central location made it convenient for both business and leisure activities.

Zermatt is a culinary pearl, and I found my treasure at the Schweizerhof! The nearby Derby and Walliserkanne had traditional Swiss dishes that blew me away, especially the fondue! Plus, the hotel facilities were top-notch, with a fantastic pool and wellness area to unwind after a busy day exploring.

Ah, the dining scene downstairs was slightly bumpy.

We stayed one night in a junior suite, and it was super cozy! Great beds and clean room. Loved that there was a pool to relax in after hiking. The breakfast buffet was pretty decent, too! The iPad controls were a bit confusing, though. Also, a bit of noise from renovations early in the day wasn't ideal.

the breakfast options were great , but the coffee could've been hotter. the room was super spacious, had a large balcony, and was beautifully decorated. loved the comfy lobby with leather couches and the wonderful ski locker service.

I loved the location of Schweizerhof Zermatt. It's right near the main street, making it easy to explore the area. The modern alpine decor felt stylish and cozy, which I appreciated. Our room had a balcony with views of the Matterhorn, and that was breathtaking. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, perfect for a good night's rest. The breakfast spread was plentiful and varied. I especially enjoyed the fresh pastries and local cheeses. However, the shower stall was dangerously slippery, which was concerning. I fell while using the body wash. The front desk offered bath mats, but there should have been one available in the bath by default. That really needs to be addressed. It would have made the experience even better. Apart from that, everything else was great!
